Job summary

LCB Senior Living in Shelburne, VT is hiring a Memory Care Activity Assistant at The Residence at Shelburne Bay to support daily activities for residents. You will plan, develop, organize, and implement activities; assist with transportation, newsletters, store operations, and volunteer programs; and work with a caring team to enhance resident quality of life.

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Prior recreational therapy or gerontology experience is preferred, plus a valid driver's license

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in recreational therapy or related field preferred; gerontology experience preferred.
Valid driver license in the state of work with no more than two moving violations in 3 years.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, and implementation of activities.
Develop suggestions and ideas for improving and expanding the Activities Program.
Maintain professional, warm, and caring relationships with residents and families.
Assist in arranging transportation and escorts for residents to and from activities.
Assist with maintaining and expanding Volunteer Programs.
Assist residents with maintaining and operating the residence store.
Assist with maintaining adequate supplies per department budget.
Assist residents to and from activities.
Attend ongoing in-service training sessions and orientation.
Drive residents in van as needed.
