Job summary

The Residence at Shelburne Bay in Shelburne, VT is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, develop, and implement engaging resident activities. You will help create a vibrant programs calendar and work closely with residents and families to ensure meaningful engagement.

The role requires strong English communication, creativity, and the ability to lift 15 lbs. A valid driver license is required, and prior gerontology interest is helpful. Benefits start Day One.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist in developing and implementing activities.
• Ability to motivate residents to participate daily.
• Creativity and motivational skills.
• Clear communication in English, both oral and written.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs. and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing residence activities.
• Develop suggestions to expand the Activities Program.
• Maintain warm, professional relationships with residents and families.
• Arrange transportation for residents to activities and events.
• Support Volunteer Programs and the residence store.
• Assist with newsletters and weekly calendars.
