Job summary

Republic Services in Texas seeks an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate forklift, excavator, bulldozer and other heavy gear at our recycling center, landfill or transfer station.

You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, monitor waste quality, complete required reports, maintain equipment readiness and follow all safety policies to support efficient, compliant site operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment and ensure safety standards.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other gear.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain equipment readiness.
• Perform minor service on equipment and report repairs to Maintenance Shop.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required documentation.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Keep the shop clean and organized at shift end.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
