Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate at recycling centers, landfills or transfer stations. You will perform pre/post inspections and operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader to move waste or soil efficiently.

This role requires two years of related heavy equipment experience and OSHA-regulated site exposure. You will help keep equipment operational, document inspections, and follow all safety policies while maintaining

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Excellent customer service, professionalism and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment per policy.
• Safely operate equipment including forklift, excavator, bulldozer and front-end loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and ensure equipment readiness.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs as needed.
• Keep shop clean, serviced and prepared for the next shift.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
