Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD seeks an experienced RN for the Labor and Delivery Department. The role emphasizes patient and family education, adherence to ANA standards, and mentorship of junior staff.

Shifts are 12 hours, nights, 36 hours per week, with a comprehensive benefits package and faith-based workplace culture. The successful candidate will have an accredited RN program diploma, Maryland RN license, NCLEX pass, BLS, and L&D-specific NRP

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area (For L&D: NRP).

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students and team members in patient-centered care.
