Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking an organized Client Services professional in Fort Myers to support revenue cycle operations.

You will handle patient inquiries, assist accessioning, review insurance policies, and collaborate with the UM team to obtain authorizations for in-house pathology testing. Key responsibilities include handling calls and emails, updating LIS/EMR data, and generating weekly/monthly quality and audit reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years in medical billing or laboratory environment.
• 1-2 years' experience with insurance authorization and benefit investigation.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient inquiries by telephone, fax, and email regarding results and services.
• Report laboratory results to providers using established protocols.
• Document reporting and call history in required formats and maintain records.
• Assist with accessioning duties including packing/unpacking, labeling checks, and LIS entry.
• Review billing for appropriate diagnosis codes and ensure proper ICD coding.
• Liaise between lab, clinic, and reference labs to ensure timely claims processing.
• Process claims and address denials or resubmissions as needed.
• Assist monthly QA and audit reports.
