Job summary

American Oncology Network, operating as AON Lab, seeks a Client Services Associate to support revenue cycle activities within a clinical lab setting. You will review, verify, and update work standards, assist accessioning, and liaise among the business office, clinic, and lab to address internal and external service needs.

The role involves checking insurance authorizations, supporting accessioning tasks, and generating weekly/monthly quality and denial reports to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in medical billing and/or laboratory environment.
• Experience with insurance authorization and benefit investigations 1–2 years.
• Familiarity with medical/laboratory terminology.
• Ability to work remotely if required and handle multi-site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Answer client inquiries via phone, fax, and email per protocols.
• Review insurance verifications and authorizations; ensure EMR and billing systems are updated.
• Assist accessioning duties including specimen handling and LIS entry when needed.
• Prepare and review monthly quality assurance and denial reports.
• Coordinate with UM team for authorizations and test routing.
