Job summary

CAPECO is hiring an Intake Specialist – Limited Duration at the Pendleton Main Office to process client applications for housing programs, determine eligibility, and maintain accurate files. You will enter client information into the database and prepare reports on numbers served and funding utilized.

The position requires a two-year college degree (or equivalent experience), strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently with accuracy.

Qualifications

• A two-year college degree, which can be substituted for three years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills and legible handwriting.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work independently with speed and accuracy.
• Must be able to transition from one application to another based on demand for services.
• Previous experience interviewing and/or determining client eligibility or customer service environment will be considered.
• C computer experience and have a working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information and documents from clients to complete their file.
• Conducts detailed eligibility assessments for rental assistance.
• Determines level of need and assistance amounts.
• Maintains accurate client records, both physical and digital.
• Ensures timely and accurate completion of reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
