Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is seeking an Instructional Aide – Secondary Basic Skills to support the core curriculum across math, reading, science, social studies and writing for grades 6-12. You will work with students to reinforce skills and track progress in a collaborative school environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher, or 48 college units with a high school diploma.
• CBEST and high school diploma required, or pass the Instructional Aide Exam.
• Arabic fluency (reading, writing, verbal) is required.
• Experience supporting basic skill areas in math, reading, science, social studies and writing.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning lessons and preparing instructional materials.
• Supervises and tutors individuals or small groups in core subjects.
• Explains subject matter, administers tests, and reviews assignments.
• Maintains pupil profiles and manages instructional equipment and supplies.
• Supports classroom discipline and safety, including field trips and school activities.
