Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is hiring an Instructional Aide – Elementary Basic Skills on a part-time, temporary basis. The role supports kindergarten through elementary grades by assisting in lessons, tutoring students, and helping maintain records.

The strongest candidates will be fluent in Cantonese, able to explain subject matter, administer tests, and manage classroom materials with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher or 48 college units plus high school diploma.
• Passing CBEST and a high school diploma, or passing the Instructional Aide Exam.
• Cantonese fluency is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning lessons and preparing instructional materials.
• Tutors individuals or small groups and conducts planned lessons.
• Administers tests, reviews and corrects work, maintains pupil profiles.
• Operates instructional equipment and maintains supplies and records.
