Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in Concord, CA is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-12. You will assist with implementing IEP goals, provide personalized supervision, and collaborate with teachers to foster a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably an associate degree in education with experience in special education or behavioral support. CA driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and ability to obtain CA driver’s license.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Experience supporting students with diverse needs in special education.
• Ability to implement IEP goals and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to create a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support aligned to IEP goals.
• Supervise students in classroom and community settings, monitoring progress.
• Record and report student behaviors, progress and observations clearly and timely.
• Assist with preparing behavioral reports and daily activity logs.
• Communicate with families and staff regarding student needs and achievements.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

CA state driver\'s license

Crisis management training certification
