Alamance County Department of Social Services is seeking an Income Maintenance Caseworker II to join the team in North Carolina. You will interview clients, determine eligibility, and help families access vital food and medical assistance while maintaining accurate case records.

A high school diploma with relevant experience or an associate degree in a related field is required. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $45,353.28 annually and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school graduation with paraprofessional/public contact experience involving interviewing, data gathering, and analysis; or
• High school graduation with two years of such experience including at least one year in an income maintenance program; or
• Associate degree in a closely related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client interviews to determine eligibility for vital assistance programs.
• Verify and document information to ensure services are delivered per policy.
• Maintain up-to-date case records to support benefits like food and medical assistance.
• Support clients by connecting them to community resources.
• Manage an active caseload while following policies to maximize state and federal support.
