Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our home care team. The role involves setting up home medical equipment, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and monitors, and educating patients on proper usage.

You will inspect, review prescriptions, maintain patient records, and stay current with respiratory therapy practices. On-call duties may apply. A strong communicator with a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• CRTs or RRTs are qualified for this position in all states.
• Must be licensed/certified by the applicable state or national board governing clinical practice.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to assess treatment suitability per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete, organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.
