TKC Holdings, Inc. in North Las Vegas, NV, is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to work onsite inside a jail/correctional facility. You will assist the Food Service Director in planning and running a large food service operation and supervise kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service role.
• Three years of experience in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guidance, training, and management of the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients and communicate with them.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served according to the plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and menu schedule preparation.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules to meet menu specifications safely.
• Maintain sanitary environment following codes and regulations.
• Responsible for state or other inspections of food service operations.
• Other responsibilities as needed.
