Job summary

Community Action Pioneer Valley, Inc. is seeking a Referral Specialist to be the first point of contact for clients seeking weatherization, energy audits, heating repairs, and home improvements.

You will handle intake, eligibility screening, documentation, and referrals while updating multiple databases and coordinating with program staff. Responsibilities include answering the energy referrals line, maintaining participant files, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service and office experience in social services or related field.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Russian highly valued.
• Experience with data management and tracking methods.

Responsibilities

• Answer energy referrals line, screen, inform, refer, and schedule appointments.
• Record interactions in program data systems and track referrals.
• Update multiple databases as information becomes available.
• Follow program guidelines for database usage (e.g., Monday.com, SharePoint, Excel).
• Glean information to determine client eligibility for Energy programs.
• Provide production support by assigning work orders for heating repairs per guidelines.
• Follow up with clients per program guidelines.
• Maintain files per program and funder requirements.
• Attend supervision and agency trainings; participate in professional development.
• Work remotely one day per week after 90 days; maintain confidentiality.
