Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for our Elementary Learning Center. You will design differentiated lessons, manage IEP goals, and collaborate in a supportive team to empower diverse learners.

Responsibilities include delivering targeted instruction, using instructional software, and maintaining detailed progress reports in a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or closely related field.
• IL professional educator (PEL) credential in process or current.
• IL learning behavior specialist (LBS1) credential in process or current.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curriculum resources.
• Create lesson plans and schedules aligned to standards.
• Track student progress and maintain records.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
• Support PBIS implementation and school-wide behavior plans.
