Job summary
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an Elementary setting. You will design personalized learning experiences for students with IEPs, delivering differentiated instruction and leveraging instructional technology.
You will collaborate with staff, develop and update IEPs, and implement PBIS throughout the learning center to support student growth and engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
- IL Professional Educator license (PEL) or in process.
- IL Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) credential or in process.
- Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
- Experience with curriculum development and differentiation in special education.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
- Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curricula and technology.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned to standards.
- Create and implement IEPs with measurable goals and interventions.
- Collaborate in a co-teaching environment to meet educational goals.
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Utilize PBIS strategies and reinforce classroom expectations.
- Engage families and colleagues in the educational process.
