Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Youth Development Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based core learning on a full-time, on-site basis across listed campuses. You will diagnose gaps, run short literacy sessions, and drive daily and weekly goals within a structured schedule.

This role emphasizes hands-on mentorship over scripted teaching. Expect relocation support, a real path to leadership, and six-figure compensation as the program expands nationally.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9 in settings where your presence was the draw — teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, children's theater, or similar
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years
• Completed structured-literacy training: LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading, or similar; or a master's in reading or literacy
• Bachelor's degree in any subject. A teaching certificate is not required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning: spotting who is stuck and guiding them toward the gap
• Leading short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students and diagnosing gaps
• Maintaining a daily learning goal and guiding students through campus routines from launch to closing
• Driving weekly app goals using school currency, leaderboards, and gamification
• Staying with students through lunch, recess and closing and addressing frustrations with a plan
