The GEO Group, Inc. in Hudson, CO is seeking a licensed physician for a contract/1099 role, 40 hours per week, on-site. You will deliver high-quality medical care to detainees and coordinate with the hospital medical team.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, coordinating referrals, documenting in patient records, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and professional standards.

Formación

• Medical degree from an accredited school and licensed to practice in the state.
• Completion of a U.S.-based residency program required.

Responsabilidades

• Examine and treat detainees referred by staff to ensure proper injury care, diagnosis and recovery.
• Manage and evaluate medical program activities based on standards and contractual obligations.
• Prescribe medications and review ongoing cases requiring medical attention.
• Initiate dental and psychiatric referrals as needed.
• Provide patients information to promote good health and prevent disease.
• Document services and notes in patient medical records.
• Communicate with hospital, psychiatric, nurses, health technicians, and admins.
• Available 24-hours to advise nursing staff after hours.
• Maintain knowledge by attending educational workshops and conferences.
• Act as liaison between correctional officials, public agencies, and the facility.
