Job summary

Felton Institute seeks a Community Response Specialist to join the Non-Police Community Response Team, supporting citywide crisis response with on-site assessments, de-escalation, and service linkages. The role emphasizes engagement with diverse residents, collaborating with AQCRT partners to connect housing, medical, and social services.

This full-time position requires flexible hours, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to harm-reduction and client-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or GED) required; Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum one year experience with transition-age youth or adults facing homelessness or related challenges.
• Ability to work in a diverse, high-need community.
• Commitment to harm reduction and client-centered care.
• Ability to communicate non-judgmentally and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach and engagement for residents in need.
• Work a flexible full-time schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain documentation of program activities and data tracking.
• Provide linkage to services and connect with providers.
• Assist residents with transportation to service locations.
• Develop service plans and link housing, financial, medical resources.
• Build positive relationships with residents and partners.
• Other duties as assigned.
