Job summary

Creative Risk Solutions (CRS), a Holmes Murphy line of business, is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to join our team. In this role you will handle claims from insureds and claimants, investigate and resolve lost-time claims, and strive for a world-class client experience.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years WC claims experience, a state WC license (or ability to obtain within three months), and comfort navigating multiple jurisdictions and software programs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of workers’ compensation claims experience.
• Active state WC license required or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• Proficient knowledge of workers’ compensation coverage and claims processing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receives, gathers and transmits workers’ compensation information from insureds, claimants, and staff in a timely manner.
• Investigates, evaluates, and resolves lost-time WC claims, including litigated claims.
• Mediates between insured and insurer, researching coverage issues.
• Enters and maintains accurate information on the claim system, including settlements.
• Generates daily indemnity and medical payments.
• Develops and monitors consistency in CRS claims handling procedures.
• Willingness to become licensed if required in jurisdiction where claims are handled.
