Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Iowa City seeks a Behavior Specialist to support CBT interventions across treatment programs. You will assess behavior function, develop plans, train patients and support persons, and monitor progress with an interdisciplinary team.

Under Clinical Leader supervision, you will implement CBT-specific plans, document outcomes, and adjust interventions to achieve desired results. Related certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential or state equivalent.
• Relevant CBT experience (12 months preferred).
• Valid driver's license for Residential programs (preferred).
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire; NCI training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide cognitive behavioral therapy and other groups under supervision to address patient goals.
• Monitor progress, adjust care plans based on observations and outcomes.
• Document services, assessments, and psychosocial information in records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and care planning.
• Train and support staff and family in CBT interventions and strategies.
• Ensure patient safety and assist with staffing and scheduling as needed.
