Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time, non-exempt LifeWise Secondary Education teacher to deliver Bible-based instruction for grades 6-12. You will participate in training, use LifeWise curriculum, and build relationships with students while upholding the program's faith-based mission.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, maintaining attendance records, coordinating with staff, and communicating with parents and volunteers to ensure student well-being and steady classroom progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training and become LifeWise Teacher Certified.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Maintain accurate attendance and class rosters, health concerns and consent records.
• Keep a well-ordered classroom environment and use redemptive teaching strategies.
• Communicate with program director, school personnel, and volunteers; promote LifeWise's mission.
