Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a Part-Time secondary education teacher for grades 6-12 who demonstrates strong Bible knowledge, caring instruction, and effective communication within a Christian context.

The role requires active church involvement, faith alignment with our Statement of Faith, and a commitment to LifeWise curricula, student relationships, and redemptive classroom discipline. Training, events, and community engagement are integral parts of the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training (LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days; annual LifeWise Summit; attend Teachers' Lounge or LifeWise Meet-Up; stay updated via LifeWise email)
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum; map curriculum customization; implement age-appropriate lesson plans; build relationships and pray with students; maintain a redemptive classroom environment; prioritize student engagement
• Maintain Records (attendance, rosters, health notes, health needs, parent permissions) and prepare materials for substitutes
• Maintain the Classroom (ordered environment, age-appropriate space, emergency procedures, procure supplies via program director)
• Communicate (act as ambassador; attend events; liaise with school personnel; coordinate with volunteers; submit updates and photos; promote LifeWise's mission)
• Note: LifeWise Academy emphasizes religious mission alignment in all duties and interactions
