Job summary

Centria seeks enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, applying evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training. You must be patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team, and you should be physically able to move and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test within the last year
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Sitting down and standing up from the floor or chair many times throughout the work day.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
• Running or moving quickly as needed to interact with, and for the safety and protection of your client(s).
