Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under the guidance of a BCBA, applying evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Comprehensive training is provided; no current experience required. You must be patient, compassionate, and able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate and able to work in a team.
• 18+ years of age; high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification and TB test as required.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend).
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Support children in achieving learning goals and reducing interfering behaviors.
