Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to help children with autism reach their full potential. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, applying evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social and daily living skills.

You will receive comprehensive training, with opportunities to grow in a structured career path. This role involves physical tasks and lifting up to 50 pounds; a compassionate, patient mindset is essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion when supporting children with autism.
• Minimum age 18 years and a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification and TB test required.
• Pass background check prior to employment.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification required after onboarding.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills; reduce interfering behaviors.
• Participate in training and maintain safety during interactions.
• Remain patient, compassionate, and a strong team member.
