Job summary

Mutual Housing is seeking a dedicated Floating Assistant Property Manager in Davis, CA to support daily operations across multiple properties. You will work with the Property Manager to ensure resident satisfaction, rent processing, and compliance with housing regulations.

You'll split time between The Davis Trio and other properties, helping with marketing, waitlists, and budgets, while delivering excellent customer service in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; relevant coursework preferred.
• Experience in affordable housing (HUD, LIHTC, Rural Housing) preferred.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and landlord/tenant laws.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse community.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Yardi experience a plus.
• Support Mutual Housing mission and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Work 50% of the time at The Davis Trio and 50% supporting additional properties across the portfolio, with assignments determined by operational needs.
• Support the Property Manager with daily operations and resident relations.
• Collect rents, process receivables, and assist with monthly financial reporting.
• Help prepare annual budgets and monitor operating performance.
• Coordinate maintenance requests, unit turns, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate resident files, compliance documentation, and Yardi data.
• Assist with applicant intake, waitlist management, marketing, and occupancy goals.
• Ensure adherence to Fair Housing, ADA, Section 504, and affordable housing regulations.
• Step in as lead when the Property Manager is unavailable.
