Alternative Services - Oregon, Inc. in Milwaukie is seeking an Assistant House Manager to support young men with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential home.

You will lead a team, implement behavior support plans, and ensure safe daily routines with empathy and professionalism. This role requires calm decision-making, strong communication, and the ability to document incidents accurately.

Qualifications

• Experience or working knowledge of supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and safety-focused when responding to challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• Strong understanding of de-escalation techniques and willingness to use trained safety interventions.
• Leadership and coaching skills to guide and support Direct Support Professionals.
• Knowledge of behavior support plans, incident reporting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support and supervise daily routines in a residential group home.
• De-escalate challenging situations and respond to aggression following behavior plans.
• Lead Direct Support Professionals and model appropriate responses.
• Ensure thorough incident documentation and timely reporting.
• Maintain a safe, dignified, and supportive environment for individuals served.
