Job summary

AmeriCorps DC site Lead is seeking dedicated individuals to guide After-School All-Stars activities in Washington DC, fostering academic recovery and socio-emotional growth for students after school.

You'll mentor youth, coordinate tutoring and mentoring with the Site Coordinator, recruit volunteers, and help collect attendance data for program evaluation, with occasional weekend service.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old and eligible for AmeriCorps service.
• Full-time AmeriCorps program site lead in Washington, DC.
• Experience in youth development and community programs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage students in learning and foster connections to school and community.
• Facilitate after-school programming 3 PM–6 PM focused on academic recovery and socio-emotional growth.
• Mentor students under coordination of Site Coordinator; support online tutoring and activities.
• Recruit and leverage 1–3 volunteers/community partners for service projects.
• Assist with data collection (attendance and surveys) for program evaluation.
• Occasionally participate in weekend service projects.
