Job summary

After-School All-Stars Los Angeles (ASAS-LA) is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead and manage a site, ensuring a safe, dynamic after-school environment that educates, inspires, and retains students. You will drive attendance, supervise staff, and implement engaging activities aligned with ASAS-LA goals.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience in leadership, and the ability to work with diverse communities, school staff, and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership or supervisory capacity in an afterschool, day camp, or youth org.
• Ability to work with School District staff, public officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for expanded learning programming is desirable.
• Ability to develop programs for diverse learning styles and interests.
• Experience working in ethnic and culturally diverse communities is desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a team environment.
• Respond to incidents promptly using ASAS-LA protocols.
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have valid transportation.
• Must clear DOJ/FBI Live Scan prior to hire.
• Fluency in another language is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff and volunteers at the ASAS-LA program site.
• Foster professional development and evaluate program staff.
• Ensure a safe, enriching program environment for students.
• Coordinate with school site to strengthen partnerships and collaboration.
• Plan day-to-day programming and manage attendance goals.
• Attend required management meetings and travel to events.
• Maintain safety protocols and timely emergency reporting.
