After-School All-Stars Los Angeles is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead an ASAS-LA site, ensuring a safe, dynamic after-school program that educates, enlightens, and inspires youth. You will drive attendance, implement creative strategies, and collaborate with district and community partners to foster growth.

This full-time role requires supervising staff, maintaining safety standards, and executing program plans across evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising in afterschool, day camp, or youth orgs.
• Ability to collaborate with school district staff, public officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for expanded learning programming is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop programs that accommodate diverse learning styles and interests.
• Experience working in ethnically and culturally diverse communities is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff and volunteers at the ASAS-LA site and provide professional development opportunities.
• Assist with discipline and behavior management and maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Embed ASAS-LA Mission and Vision into daily practices at each site.
• Provide a safe and enriching environment for students.
• Coordinate with school sites to address issues and strengthen partnerships.
• Oversee day-to-day programming and report emergencies to your supervisor.
• Ensure ASAS-LA initiatives are implemented through observations and trainings.
• Collaborate with school day activities related to expanded learning programming.
• Conduct surveys for program evaluations with parents, staff, and students.
• Maintain attendance, scheduling, and payroll processes for site staff.
