Job summary

After-School All-Stars LA is seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator to lead a dynamic after-school program. You will supervise staff, ensure a safe environment and deliver engaging educational activities for youth.

The role requires strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to coordinate with schools and families. Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in youth programs, proficiency with MS Office, and relevant certifications (CPR/First Aid).

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in an afterschool or youth program.
• Ability to work with school staff, officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for after school programs.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and incidents.
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications.
• Clear DMV H-6, TB clearance; drug test and DOJ/FBI Live Scan.
• Bilingual language skills encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff and volunteers at the ASAS-LA site.
• Provide access to professional development opportunities.
• Develop and implement safe, engaging after-school activities.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise program staff of up to 20 students’ classroom.
• Coordinate site communication with school administration and families.
• Oversee daily programming, including emergency reporting and budget processes.
• Maintain attendance, reports, and program evaluations.
