Job summary

YMCA of Central Massachusetts is seeking an Out of School Time Coordinator to lead developmentally appropriate programs for children, emphasizing health, safety and adherence to licensing policies.

You will recruit and supervise staff, partner with families and schools, monitor child progress, and help expand services within the community while maintaining clear communication across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Must possess oral, auditory and written communication skills appropriate for interacting with both children and adults.
• Strong leadership and diplomacy skills are required for supervising staff and volunteers.
• Ability to collaborate with families, school staff and community partners to enhance program impact.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and health/safety policies.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule and evaluate staff and volunteers; supervise daily operations.
• Communicate goals and concerns with school and community stakeholders; maintain licensing compliance.
• Evaluate children’s progress; complete progress reports bi-annually.
• Develop and expand programs; assist marketing and distribution of program information.
• Maintain staff communications and ensure a supportive team environment.
• Plan activities for families and provide ongoing parent network support.
• Maintain records for EEC licensing and staff/child documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
