Job summary

Community Roots Housing is seeking an experienced property manager to oversee two buildings with 16 and 30 units serving HUD/affordable housing programs.

You will handle leasing, income certifications, maintenance, rent collection, tenant relations, and lease enforcement across a small portfolio in Seattle. Strong knowledge of Seattle regulations and HUD rules is preferred.

The role requires coordinating with onsite staff and the Portfolio Manager to ensure compliance and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of affordable property management experience.
• Ability to speak, read and write in standard business English.
• Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to problem solve independently.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of and experience working with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Lease properties and process leasing applications and related paperwork.
• Complete income certifications and HUD-related requirements.
• Oversee maintenance, rent collection and tenant relations.
• Enforce lease provisions and participate in disciplinary actions as needed.
• Coordinate with onsite staff and Portfolio Manager for operations.
