Job summary

The Seattle Office of Housing is seeking a Manager to set the strategic vision for asset management of affordable and market-rate housing, leading approximately 20,000 income- and rent-restricted units. You will supervise five staff and coordinate with City partners to optimize portfolio performance and compliance across property reports, appraisals, and covenants.

• Experience in multifamily affordable housing asset management.
• Experience managing complex financing-driven projects.

• Ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure portfolio is fiscally and physically sound, properly managed, and compliant with affordable housing requirements.
• Identify problems from property reports and site visits; develop action plans to address compliance or operating issues.
• Conduct analyses to promote optimal portfolio performance and inform policies.
• Analyze real estate appraisals, pro formas, operating budgets, balance sheets, and other financial data.
• Review development-related agreements and covenants; resolve issues with counsel.
• Prepare complex asset management reports and analyses.
• Develop and administer internal asset management systems, including policy documentation and reporting tools.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues, staff, consultants, lenders and government agencies.
