Job summary

The City of Portland is seeking a contract management and program coordination professional to support the Impact Reduction Program (IRP). The role emphasizes reviewing complex invoices for accuracy and ensuring vendor compliance with ORS 195.505 and city contracts.

You will collaborate with residents and partner organizations, coordinate campsite cleanups, and provide educational outreach on IRP operations while supporting reporting and audits within a hybrid on-site/remote framework in Oregon.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing analytical, administrative, or program coordination work in government or related fields.
  • Experience reviewing invoices, budgets, or financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with community members, stakeholders, and partner agencies.
  • Ability to coordinate complex field operations (campsite cleanups) across multiple teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Budget and Financial Oversight: monitor expenditures, review invoices for contract compliance, audits.
  • Contract & Vendor Management: oversee vendor performance and contract terms, resolve discrepancies.
  • Campsite Cleanup Coordination: plan and resolve cleanup challenges with outreach as needed.
  • Intergovernmental Coordination: collaborate on IGAs and workgroups, track spending.
  • Community Engagement & Response: respond to inquiries via Zendesk and guide residents.
