Job summary

Volunteers of America–Greater New York is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support full-cycle recruiting across the agency. Located in New York, NY 10020, this hybrid role blends office collaboration with two remote days per week, fostering a strong candidate experience.

You will draft and post job ads, screen resumes, interview candidates, partner with hiring managers, and track recruitment metrics to ensure timely, compliant hires and a positive candidate journey.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree plus two years of recruitment experience.
• Experience reviewing applicant qualifications, screening interviews and candidate recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal partners and candidates.
• Experience using HRIS/ATS and sourcing resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment activities for assigned requisitions and post ads across platforms.
• Review resumes, conduct screening, assess qualifications, and recommend candidates.
• Partner with hiring managers to define requirements and escalate as needed.
• Maintain candidate communication and ensure a positive experience throughout the process.
• Monitor pipelines, identify sourcing gaps, and suggest improvements.
• Coordinate onboarding for temporary staff and interns.
