Job summary

Arc Herkimer is seeking a Fund Development Director to lead our fundraising and development efforts and help create a stronger future for the people and families we support. You will design and implement the annual fundraising plan, cultivate relationships with donors, and expand our funding partnerships.

With a starting salary of $75,000 and a full-time schedule, this exempt role offers opportunities to build a diverse donor pipeline, manage budgets, and collaborate with the Board to increase

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of fund development, fundraising, or nonprofit development experience.
• CFRE credential preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Budget and financial management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn donor management and fundraising software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement Arc Herkimer's annual fundraising and development plan.
• Build and grow relationships with individual donors, major donors, businesses, foundations, and community partners.
• Lead efforts in major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, and fundraising campaigns.
• Identify new funding opportunities and develop a strong, diverse donor pipeline.
• Coordinate fundraising events, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.
• Research and coordinate grant opportunities, submissions, reporting, and compliance.
• Partner with the Board of Directors and volunteers to strengthen fundraising efforts.
• Collaborate with PR staff to create engaging donor communications, appeals, newsletters, annual reports, and impact stories.
• Track fundraising budgets, revenue, expenses, donor records, and performance.
• Represent Arc Herkimer throughout the community and build partnerships that increase awareness and support.
