Job summary

Arc Herkimer is seeking a Fund Development Director to lead fundraising and development efforts in the Village of Herkimer, NY. The role focuses on building relationships with donors, corporations, and foundations to expand the donor pipeline and support services for people with disabilities in our community.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with CFRE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of fund development or nonprofit fundraising experience.
• CFRE credential preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Budget/financial management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement Arc Herkimer's annual fundraising and development plan.
• Build and grow relationships with individual donors, major donors, businesses, foundations, and community partners.
• Lead efforts in major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, and fundraising campaigns.
• Identify new funding opportunities and develop a diverse donor pipeline.
• Coordinate fundraising events, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.
• Research, coordinate grant opportunities, submissions, reporting, and compliance.
• Partner with the Board of Directors and volunteers to strengthen fundraising.
• Collaborate with PR staff to create engaging donor communications, appeals, newsletters, annual reports, and impact stories.
• Track fundraising budgets, revenue, expenses, donor records, and performance.
• Represent Arc Herkimer and build partnerships to increase awareness and support.
