Job summary

The American Heart Association in Atlanta is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator to support the School Engagement VP Team. The role involves coordinating Kick Off Assemblies, travel to local schools, data entry, and processing materials and orders.

You will work with the local School Engagement Director, manage schedules, and assist with vendor coordination. This temporary position offers exposure to nonprofit fundraising and program support, with opportunities for training through Heart

Qualifications

• Three years of prior experience in a supporting role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to work with all social strata and backgrounds.
• Ability to travel to/from home to local schools.
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the local School Engagement Director with fundraising duties such as scheduling/implementing Kick Off Assemblies and delivering/picking up items from local schools.
• Data entry, spreadsheet management and expense report assistance.
• Helping to facilitate online material orders for schools and staff.
• Working with local print vendor to help facilitate print orders.
• Ensure adherence to national and regional School Engagement policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Collaborate with national and regional counterparts in other areas of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
