Job summary

American Heart Association in Minnesota is hiring a Development Director, School Engagement. This full-time, field-based role requires extensive travel across South Central and Southeast Minnesota and four counties in Northeast Iowa, with flexible hours to meet school needs.

You will lead Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge programs, manage data in CRM and Microsoft Office, recruit volunteers and engage schools and families, and contribute to a team focused on improving children's

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related work.
• Daily local travel with reliable transportation.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work from home and in the field per policy.
• Proactive communication and independent work style.
• Willing to work flexible hours including early mornings/evenings.
• Experience with CRM data management and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Meet fundraising goal of $300,000+ via volunteers, events, and accounts.
• Recruit and engage students and families through schools for Kids Heart Challenge.
• Implement classroom challenges and assemblies (in-person/digital).
• Build and maintain relationships with teachers, principals, districts, survivor families.
• Provide outstanding customer service to volunteers and collaborators; plan kickoff meetings.
• Manage and update CRM data and Microsoft product usage; 5–10 schools daily.
