Job summary

The American Heart Association in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator on the School Engagement VP Team. This temporary role supports the School Engagement Director with planning Kick Off Assemblies, data entry, scheduling meetings, and coordinating print and material orders for local schools.

Candidates should have at least three years of supporting experience, strong MS Office skills, excellent written communication, and the ability to travel to local schools; the

Qualifications

• Three years of prior experience in a supporting role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to work with all backgrounds.
• Ability to travel to local schools.
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the local School Engagement Director with fundraising duties and Kick Off Assemblies.
• Data entry, spreadsheet management and expense report assistance.
• Help facilitate online material orders for schools and staff.
• Coordinate with local print vendor to facilitate print orders.
• Ensure adherence to national and regional School Engagement policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with national and regional counterparts in other areas of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
