Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a temporary Development Coordinator on the School Engagement VP Team in Wilksboro, NC. This part-time role supports administrative duties, data entry, and material orders and is funded through Spring 2027.

You will assist a team of 6-9 staff, manage spreadsheets, travel to local schools as needed, and coordinate meetings, while ensuring adherence to policies and collaborating with national and regional teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of prior experience in a supporting role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a team of 6-9 staff with their administrative needs.
• Data entry, spreadsheet management, and expense report assistance
• Helping to facilitate online material orders for schools and staff
• Scheduling various meetings for schools and staff
• On occasion, traveling to/from local schools to deliver and/or pick up various items (mileage reimbursement will apply).
• Working with the local print vendor to help facilitate print orders
• Ensure adherence to all national and regional School Engagement policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Collaborate with national and regional counterparts in other areas of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
