Job summary

St. Jude ALSAC is seeking an Advisor - Area Development to lead area fundraising efforts, recruit volunteers, and expand donor partnerships.

You will drive national initiatives, manage multiple high-value events, and collaborate with internal teams to maximize revenue and awareness across the Pittsburgh area. You will travel 15–20% with some evening/weekend commitments, build relationships with donors, sponsors, and media partners, and use strong communication skills to motivate volunteers and

Qualifications

• Five years of fundraising/development experience; bachelor's preferred.
• Proven relationship management and peer-to-peer fundraising success.
• Ability to relate to donors/volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Travel 15–20% with evening/weekend commitments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and activate national fundraising initiatives across the area, recruiting volunteers and sponsors.
• Achieve and exceed revenue and stewardship goals set by leadership.
• Build relationships with volunteers and donors through face-to-face interactions.
• Provide guidance and resources to volunteers/donors via visits, written and electronic communication.
• Create marketing/recruitment plans for events; engage media partners and promotions.
• Develop and grow high-value revenue events ($250k+).
• Prepare correspondence and maintain records of event contacts/revenues.
• Represent St. Jude publicly to strengthen relationships and awareness.
• Collaborate to identify and solicit Dream Home and Radiothon donors; develop sponsorships.
