Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team. This role emphasizes patient-centered assessment, planning and evaluation, with a 0.83 FTE schedule of 33 hours per week at our South Lake Union location.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, coordinating with the care team, and integrating immunotherapy protocols as appropriate. A commitment to oncology care and ongoing professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with WA RN license or move to WA MSL residency within 60 days
• Current BLS certification with renewal every two years
• Oncology nursing experience preferred or willingness to train
• Demonstrates clinical judgment and time management
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team
• CITI GCP and Human Subjects Research training within 3 months

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plan care
• Develop care plans based on disease and treatment response
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and treatments
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care
• Refer to social work, home health care, nutrition, and other resources as needed
• Implement, evaluate, and modify the care plan
• Incorporate evidence-based practice into care
