Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for infusion services in an oncology-focused care setting. This full-time onsite role at South Lake Union requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered infusion therapies.

Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing assessment, care planning, patient education, and coordination of resources. Oncologic training is provided as needed, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN license or MS/L with upgrade within 60 days.
• Oncology experience or training provided if needed.
• Current BLS certification required every 2 years.
• ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months of hire.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Excellent time management and independent work capability.
• Effective communication and patient education skills.
• Preferred BSN and 2 years oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and modify care plans based on disease and treatment response.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and side effects.
• Coordinate with inter-disciplinary team for care continuity.
• Refer to social work, home health, nutrition, and other resources as needed.
• Implement, evaluate and adapt the plan of care and respond to changes.
• Incorporate research and evidence into clinical practice.
