Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Registered Nurse for a 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) role within an interdisciplinary care team. The RN provides patient-centered assessment, planning, and evaluation, integrating research into practice.

Responsibilities include education for patients and families, care coordination, and administration of chemotherapy and supportive therapies. Washington RN license and BLS required; oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington RN license or MSL with WA primary state of residence within 60 days of hire.
• Oncology experience is a plus and training is provided.
• BLS AHA Health Provider Card and ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Educate patients and families about disease, treatment, and symptom management.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Administer IV hydration, chemotherapy, and blood products as ordered.
• Integrate research and evidence into clinical practice.
