Job summary

iQ Biosciences in Alameda, CA is seeking a Scientist I – Discovery Sciences to design and execute immunoassays (antibody or small molecule), cell-based assays, and analyte quantitation for preclinical projects. The role requires solid knowledge of cellular immunology and related modalities.

After an initial training period, you will work independently on multiple client projects, coordinate with internal teams, and present data and summaries to clients with clarity and accuracy.

Qualifications

• B.S. with >10 years, M.S. with >5 years, or Ph.D. with 0–3 years in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with sterile technique (preferably mammalian cell culture) and the ability to develop and optimize assays.
• Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced CRO environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for internal and client interactions.
• Proficiency with standard computer software especially for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute experiments for client projects and internal R&D under general guidance.
• Proactively manage day-to-day study logistics, reagent prep, data analysis, and summaries.
• Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders and adapt to evolving project needs.
