Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Scientist I in Irvine, CA to support the Immunosafety & Immunogenicity group. The role focuses on immunology expertise and robust cell-based assay development for local and global portfolio.

You will conduct immunoassays, flow cytometry, data analysis, and collaborate within a matrixed team to deliver scientifically sound conclusions while adhering to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelorcean degree or equivalent education with typically 5 years of relevant experience in Immunology or related field.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based immunology assays.
• Knowledge of assay development, data interpretation, and experimental design.
• Experience organizing assay templates and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication of scientific data.
• Willingness to adopt new techniques and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute robust cell-based immunology assays.
• Perform immunoassays and multiplex analyses using Luminex and MSD.
• Design experiments, optimize assay performance, analyze data.
• Perform flow cytometry experiments and analyze data with FlowJo.
• Create and maintain templates and workflows for data analysis.
• Assist with training and method transfer to CROs as needed.
• Prepare data summaries and presentations for teams and leadership.
